Fishin’ Buddies! Stars

Amanda Hodo is a 2012 recipent of the Scripps Undergraduate Research Fellowship at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (UC San Diego). A 10-week program of independent research, studying the molecular diversity of the phytoplankton that are possibly the cause of the green tide that San Diego has had for the last few years alongside Dr. Brian Palenik (faculty mentor). Through the fellowship she will receive a stipend, housing, GRE training, graduate school preparation workshops, and support for travel and supplies.
